Card Sketch Challenge at Stuck On U Sketches

Hello Everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Today we have another wonderful new sketch at Stuck On U Sketches. This card sketch was created by one of our talented leaders at SOUS, Leah Schaeffer.
Also, don't forget this challenge will run from Nov 21st- Dec 4th. So stop on by, and check out the rest of the design teams wonderful creations!

And here is your sketch:

And here is my interpretation:

SMILE

The papers used here are from last year's Oct 31st line, Fancy Pants Design. I distressed the edges of my card. Then I punched a couple layers of patterned paper.
The circles that are lightly colored purple..circle dots..are a stencil that I had. I applied Liquitex Light Modeling Paste mixed in with a little bit of purple and beige acrylic paint. It gave this card some added texture and bling.
The "SMILE" title is a rub-on from Kaisercraft.

Here is a closeup of the flower cluster, all flowers are from prima. A purple prima vine and the larger fabric flower is also from prima.

Now this larger purple/brown flower is from Petaloo. And underneath this flower are pieces of the prima vine that I used for the larger flower cluster on my card.

Thanks for looking, and I hope I've given you some inspiration on how to use this sketch!

Happy Holidays!

Sketch Challenge at Stuck On U Sketches

Happy Halloween Everyone!
Here is another awesome sketch challenge at Stuck On U Sketches. This sketch will run from Oct 26th-Nov 8th. I just loved, loved this sketch and I hope you like my interpretation.  It is a picture of my fur baby COZMO. He is a gentle giant, who looks really scary but is the most gentlest and spoiled of beasts.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my layout:

I used papers from last years Authentique Afterglow collection and Pink Paislee House of Tree collection. I did a lot of distressing, layering, and some hand stitching.

Here is a closeup of the flower cluster. These flowers are from prima, petaloo, and kaisercraft. The chipboard is from Dusty Attic bracket frame set. I colored it with acrylic paint and stamped it with embossing powders from lindy's stamp gang in cleopatra's copper.

And here's another closeup of the corner in the bottom left. I thought the die was perfect for this layout. "Fantastic terrors never felt before", I'm sure this is what people feel when they see my scary looking doggy. HAHA!

THANKS FOR LOOKING AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

And here is my interpretation of the sketch. I've had these papers since last year and finally I get to use them!

They are papers from Fancy Pants Design, Oct 31 collection.
I fussy cut some of the pumpkins and used raised dots to give them dimension. I also used some flowers from Prima, kaisercraft and petaloo. I thought this card looked festive for this month. Spooooky.

Card Sketch Challenge at Stuck On U Sketches

I can't believe it's almost winter, hasn't the year flown by..sure has for me! And here is another awesome card sketch for the challenge at Stuck On U Sketches which will run from October 3rd-16th. This sketch was created by none other than, Leah Schaeffer. I loved this sketch, it was so easy and fun to work with. Here it is folks:

As you can see I flipped the sketch when creating my card. I used papers from my Swirlydoos Kit, which included papers from the Prima Romance Novel Collection. This was my first time creating a card like this, the sketch was total inspiration.

The large daisy is from Prima and the smaller flowers are from my personal stash. I used rub-on's from Kaisercraft.

I made the punched paper in the middle using some graphic 45 Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock. It's the black cardstock which sanded down, you see the clock impressions. I punched the small butterflies with an MS punch that I have, and added some stickles glitter.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed creating it! Please stop by SOUS and take a look at the fabulous cards my fellow design team members created.

Sketch Challenge at Stuck On U Sketches

Hello Everyone! I'm a little late getting this post up and running, but..here it is. A fabulous sketch at Stuck On U Sketches created by one of our fearless leaders, Sandi Clarkson. Come join us, this sketch will run from Sept 28-Oct 11th.
Here is the sketch:

Here is my interpretation of the sketch. I used papers from the Bo Bunny, Little Miss line. I've been hoarding these papers and finally decided to play with them. I'm so glad I did, they are so girlie and romantic. I forgot to add, this is a picture of my Niece Mia..she's a little diva girlie girl.
I used a lot of different punches, layers and lace.

I used some chipboard from Dusty Attic called Leafy Stem #3, DA0581. I painted it with snow cap acrylic paint then used mica powder in 'jolly swagman olive green' that I purchased from Lindy's Stamp Gang. I love these mica powders, they are two toned and have this shimmer to them.

I made this flower using Mcgill punches. I curled the edges and inked with chalk ink. I also added some stickles glitter to the edges.
The butterflies are rub-on's from kaisercraft.

Here's a closeup of the flower cluster. The green flower on the top right..I made. But, look at the center bling..it came off and is hanging on the side, haha..I just noticed this!
Flowers are from dusty attic, petaloo and my personal stash.

Thanks for looking and hope you stop by!

Stuck On U Sketches Challenge

Hope everyone is having a Wonderful Day! Here's another awesome sketch from Stuck On U Sketches created by our talented Leah Schaeffer.
This challenge runs from August 17th-30th, so get your entries in!!

And here is my interpretation of the sketch.   I used a pic of my mother and me when we were both Oh..So..Young. The title of my layout says "Life is perfect, with you and me".
The papers are from my Swirlydoos kit called "The Paper Doll". They included papers from 7 Gypsies and Kaisercraft. I did a lot of layering, distressing, and hand stitching.

Here is a closeup. The chipboard is from Dusty Attic, DA0656 Rose Cluster. I painted it with distress crackle paint Tattered Rose and let dry over night.  Then I inked the leaves with distress ink in Forest Moss, and inked the rest of the chipboard with distress ink in Aged Mahogany and Victorian Velvet.
The paper layer that's crinkled..literally..and inked with aged mahogany distress ink to accent the creases.
I misted the bottom of my layout using a gate stencil from tattered angels, I think. I used TA chalkboard ink in Cherry Cola.

Here is another close up of the Dusty Attic chipboard, also from the same package, item #DA0656 Rose Cluster.  The flowers I used are all from Petaloo, mini pearl daisies and velvet mini blossoms in burgundy. Love them!
I also had some bubble wrap that I used as a stamp (actual bubble wrap). I cut a small piece of the bubble wrap, covered it with slate gray acrylic paint and stamped it to my layout all around my page. You can barely notice it..but in person, looks really pretty.

Have a wonderful day and hope to see you at SOUS!

Adore
I created this card using papers from the swirlydoos kit, The Paper Doll.  It included papers from Kaisercraft The Lake House Collection.
This is the inside of the card.

This is a pic of the small cluster. I painted the dusty attic chippy in embossing powder, Razzleberry Plum from Lindy's Stamp Gang.

Here's a closeup of the grunge paper rose that I made. It was my first time making these roses..aaah! I made both roses using Tim Holtz Grungepaper, spritzed with starburst spray in Black Orchid Silver and Pretty in Pink Pink from Lindy's Stamp Gang. I also inked the edges with black coal chalk ink.
For a video tutorial on how to make the grunge paper rose click here.

I did some stamp embossing and here's another closeup of my grunge paper rose.

I used papers from the Paper Doll Kit at Swirlydoos. I had some pretty trim from my stash.

The altered chipboard is Dusty Attic's Pots and Columns. I painted it with acrylic paint and covered it with crackle accents.

I made the Puffy Roses using Lisa Gregory's tutorial over at Swirlydoos. Click here to see the picture tutorial.

Stuck On U Sketches Card Challenge

Hello Everyone! Today we have our August 1st SOUS card sketch created by our guest designer, Debbie Burns. It was such a fun and easy sketch to work with. Come join us at Stuck On U Sketches and check out all the design teams beautiful creations.

I titled this card "Adore". I used papers from Prima called "Romantique Collection", gorgeous gorgeous papers! I distressed the edges of the paper and added some chalk ink. I also punched brads in the edge of the card and ran some string I had in my stash.

Here's a closeup of the title, which is actually a rub on that I had in my stash. I thought it looked pretty good.  The wood flourish is a bird cage from Kaisercraft, I didn't color it and just left it naked. (ooh-la-la).

The large flower is from Petaloo and the smaller ones are from Kaisercraft. Thanks so much for looking and I love to see your comments!
